Dedicated Team of Professionals Candlewood Valley is a 148 bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility. We provide 24-hour nursing care. Our team of professionals include licensed social workers, registered dietitians, recreation therapists and licensed rehabilitative therapists. Candlewood Valley offers dietary, dental, optometry, audiology, pharmacy, x-ray and laboratory services. Special Care Unit Candlewood Valley has a 44 bed special care unit dedicated to the treatment of those individuals who have a diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease or a related illness. Therapeutic Recreation Intrinsic to our residents' well-being is a premier therapeutic recreation department. Residents who want to participate always have a variety of activities from which to choose. An individual's preference and needs are always considered, whether it's in a group or a one-to-one encounter. A handicapped accessible van is available for trips to events, a mall, or simply for a ride in the New England countryside. Dietary Department Our dietary department provides meals to meet the specific nutritional requirements of each resident. Our professionally trained chefs use only the freshest ingredients, with the presentation a feast to the eye as well as the palate.
